The Story of the Furbank Squirrels and Friends!

One fine sunny spring day in Little Eleville, the Furbank Squirrels were getting ready to open up their flower stall.

The children were all helping in some way – Douglas was watering the flower boxes, while his older sister Greta kept an eye on their baby brother Ray and moving a pot of tulips in the wheelbarrow to the stall. Their parents were very happy with them, that they promised them a trip to the park!

During the day, The Furbanks had some visitors to their pretty flower stall. The Springer Kangaroos wanted a pot of tulips to brighten their kitchen table, the mothers talked about the flowers and the fathers talked about the Springer’s twins – Joseph and Josephine and what a handful they must be!

Greta asked her friend Joanne if she and her family would like to go to the park later and Joanne said Yes and took the tulips home.

A little while later, the Trunk Elephants came along looking for a new watering can… as their twins Peanut and Nana had made it disappear! Savannah explained to the Furbanks what had happened the night before and just couldn’t think where their Naughty twins had put their watering can!

While the parents were talking, the Furbank children told the Trunk children about going to the park and if the Trunks wanted to come… and of course they said Yes

The day before in the Trunk families home… Twins Peanut and Nana were being little rascals in the bath… and while Savannah was looking in the mirror, the twins had hidden the family’s watering can!!!

It was there and then… it wasn’t!

Soon it was the afternoon and the Furbanks closed the flower stall and headed to the park… where they lived very near in an old oak tree.

Before too long all three families arrived and all the children looked forward to playing with each other!

The boys were having a game of snakes and ladders in the treehouse.
Greta and Nellie played on the slide and Joanne jumped on the trampoline!

Cheeky Peanut and Nana were playing on the baby slide, and Joseph, Josephine and little Ray were making sand castles!

And all the adults were having fun conversations while watching their children play!

The End

  1. Even though I have the Trunk family, the cuteness of those twins, will never stop to amaze me!
