Look what i have rescued!

I have been searching for a vintage cottage for a long time - ever since i had to send my one to the charity shop 8 yrs ago! I never really got over sending it away, after i discovered it was vintage!!!

Today i found this little lot on a friends facebook page! It needs a lot of TLC and fixing (regluing the front panel on, getting a new door hinge and redecorating). The characters need a wash, a new grey tail for one of the mice and new clothes for all. And i need to wash all the furniture. But overall £20 for this little lot wasn't to bad considering!!
Lets just hope that i can fix it up and make it a pleasent place to live once more! Now to go and buy... Some Plastic Superglue, a new hinge and some new Wallpapers to cover up what was once there. And repaint the roof area... Can't have kiddy drawings in it now can we?!

Hello everyone :)

Hi,
Its been ages since i last updated this blog! I'm sorry about that, but unfortunetly yet again I can't get to my collection and village due to things being in the spare room and in the way of my desk! Grrr... I certainly haven't forgotten about my blog though.

I finally have created a brand new Backdrop for my blog and i can't wait to be able to put it up... it looks very professional! :)
New backdrop - just painted.
Well in the past two months i have got some new families and completed another....
In July I welcomed Suzette Skimkins and Bazel Hazelwood - the Hazelwood family will be happy! I was very lucky to find them as a set brand new on Ebay and still in their original packaging from a hotel!

And today I made a very special trip to SSK! I can't believe I have visited 4 times and today I signed their book and took some little friends along with me to.. Breezy Babblebrook and Maria Buckley - Mind i didnt get many pictures of them there... too many people in the shop! I bumped into another adult collector who is from Ireland, Now that was exciting and made a change from just the children! There was a young chinese family who were getting so many families and sets - i couldn't quite believe my eyes! and a young girl who just couldn't decide on what to get! I can certainly sympathise with her!

Well today i bought two new families who i have been wanting for a while - The Oringinal Flair Nettlefield goats - oh how i love them! I wanted to get them in 2003 when they first came out but didnt get round to it, but as they just happend to be there on the shelf i picked them up, i am glad i did - Oh how i LOVE Ramsey's Beard!!! I also just happend to pick up all of the Buttercup family! they are so cute in person - Thanks to "Cutata" and others with them - reading your blogs has made me warm to the buttercup family!

Breezy and Maria enjoyed their trip!

Here are some photos of SSK's brilliant Displays - I love going to the shop, just to see the displays! Especially when i can't get to my own collection! I also managed to get a photo with giant Fraya Chocolate and Ralph walnut! :)

There we go, such a super day i have had and also now in the mood to try and get that spare room more tidy... or at least clear a space by the desk!
Hope you are all doing well
Happy Sylvanian collecting!
